The Giants showcased their firepower in the opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks, erasing an early three-run deficit and exploding for five home runs en route to an 11–5 comeback win at Oracle Park. It marked the first time since July 2021 that San Francisco hit five homers in a single game — each from a different player — sending a loud message as they continue their playoff push.

Logan Webb battled through a shaky second inning, where an error extended the frame and Jake McCarthy capitalized with a bases-clearing triple. Arizona tacked on another run in the third to take a 4–2 lead, but Webb settled in and held the Diamondbacks scoreless over his final three innings, finishing with seven strikeouts across six frames.

The Giants responded quickly. Jung Hoo Lee launched a two-run shot in the second, Dominic Smith tied the game in the third with a towering two-run homer, and the offense kept rolling from there.

The turning point came in the sixth. After loading the bases with no outs, Christian Koss broke the tie with a two-run double, Pat Bailey added a sacrifice fly, and Heliot Ramos capped the rally with a massive 435-foot blast to left-center. The inning completely swung the game, putting the Giants ahead 9–4.

Matt Chapman added a solo homer in the seventh, and Bailey blasted one of his own in the eighth to give San Francisco five on the night. Lee continued his hot stretch with a 3-for-4 effort, recording two singles and the early homer, while Ramos drove in three with his blast. Since August 1, Lee has been one of the league’s hottest hitters, batting .341 and consistently coming through when the Giants need him most.

Webb (14–9) earned the win, while Nabil Crismatt took the loss after allowing four runs over four innings. The bullpen duo of Joey Lucchesi and Tristan Beck handled the late frames, with Beck surrendering a solo shot to Gabriel Moreno but otherwise keeping Arizona quiet.

The Giants improved to 73–71 with the victory, climbing above .500 at home (36–34) and notching their eighth win in their last 11 games. The win also pulled San Francisco within three games of the Mets for the final NL wild-card spot. With five different players going deep — including Lee’s eighth homer of the season and Chapman’s 21st — the Giants flashed the kind of power that has fueled their September surge and continued to put the league on notice.
